Embarking on the quest for the legendary goblin relic in Hogwarts Legacy leads players deep into the mysterious Collector's Cave. This essential main mission requires a combination of magical combat readiness and sharp puzzle-solving skills. By understanding the core mechanics of the tomb, wizards can navigate the subterranean trials smoothly.

Meeting Lodgok and Entering the Tomb

Your journey begins just outside Hogsmeade, where you must coordinate with a goblin ally named Lodgok who seeks to repair a rift with Ranrok. After a brief discussion, you will follow him directly to the entrance of the ancient resting place. Since only wizardkind can enter the sacred tomb, you must venture into the dark caverns alone to find the artifact.

As you run deeper into the cave, the environment immediately opens up to reveal complex puzzle architectures. The path forward is initially blocked by large bronze doors that require specific magical keys to open. Preparing your basic utility spells beforehand ensures you can handle the mechanics ahead without confusion.

Solving the Moth Door Puzzles

The primary obstacles inside the tomb are the specialized moth doors, which require you to gather glowing insects using the Lumos spell. For the first door, look down the left pathway to find a flying moth on a perch and lure it back. The subsequent doors become more intricate, requiring you to distribute moths to spinning mechanical plinths.

To solve the advanced room, place one moth into the central mechanism and cast Depulso to activate the spinning device. Standing on the nearby stone platform while casting the force spell will lift Eivor up to a higher ledge. From this elevated position, you can easily reach the remaining moths needed to unlock the final gate.

Defeating the Inferi and Recovering the Relic

Progressing past the mechanical gates triggers intense combat encounters against aggressive waves of undead enemies known as Inferi. These creatures are completely immune to standard damage until they are set ablaze by fiery magic. Utilizing spells like Incendio or Confringo is crucial to break their defense before finishing them off.

After clearing the final chamber, you will discover that the sarcophagus has already been ransacked by local bandits. Exit the tomb to consult with Lodgok, who will point you toward a nearby thief encampment across the valley. Defeat the remaining Ashwinders at their camp, look inside the large tent, and recover the helm from the chest.
